  • Jenny Dea Physiotherapy is located WITHIN Soul Fitness Health Club. Please use “visitor” or” soul fitness” parking in the lot, or any spot along 3rd Street!

  • Physiotherapy is a vast and wonderful profession that promotes wellness, mobility, and independent function. Physiotherapists have a unique skill-set rooted in evidence-based science, clinical reasoning & deep desire to investigate the body as a whole. They are primary care practitioners, and are trained in communication styles that foster collaboration with other members of the health care/wellness team.

  • Yes.

    Direct billing is offered to most major extended medical providers in BC. If your plan is federal or national (eg, Sun Life federal government, Blue Cross National) you must submit your receipts on your own

  • No. You do not need a referral to book an appointment or to see a physiotherapists. There are some insurance companies that require a doctors note to cover your session. Please check with your own extended insurance to confirm

  • Physiotherapists can help you maintain your current active lifestyle, by ensuring you have the adequate skill set (stretches, exercises, etc) to compliment your activity needs! Injury prevention is key!

  • Yes. Physiotherapy (more specifically, a targeted exercise program) has been scientifically proven to decrease pain in people suffering from knee arthritis! Movement is key

  • Jenny Dea is a travelling physiotherapist with our National Ski Team. Please visit the Travel page to find out when she is out of the office. During these times there will be a locum physiotherapist available to all new and current patients.

  • If you have an appointment with Jenny, you are able to use the gym for warm-up or cool down. Otherwise, all gym use is 100% supervised by your physiotherapist and you are not able to drop-in and work out on your own.

  • YES!

    One of my favourite group of people to work with is patients recovering from surgery! ACL, Knee/Hip replacements, rotator cuff, shoulder replacements, you name it!

    In all seriousness: physiotherapists are not allowed to refer for imaging or for specialists, but I CAN write reports for your GP to advocate for you on your behalf
